“Mrs. Mary E. WARE, 86, R.R. 2, Kewanna, died at 2 a.m. Saturday at Alleghany Memorial hospital, Sparta, N.C. Mrs. Ware was born Oct. 7, 1890, in Fulton county to James and Mary O’CONNOR WALSH and had lived in this area until February when she moved to North Carolina. She married James M. WARE in 1920; he died in 1957. She was a member of Saint Ann’s Catholic church, Kewanna. Surviving are a son, James H. WARE, Muncie; two daughters, Mrs. Mary DAWSON, Alexandria, Va.,, and Margaret ANGELL, Ukiah, Cal.; twelve grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. Two brothers and a sister preceded in death. At 10 a.m. Mass was to be said today at Saint Ann’s Catholic church, Kewanna, with Father Richard SMITH officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann’s cemetery. An 8 p.m. Rosary was recited Sunday. Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison funeral home, Kewanna.”
