Mrs. Minerva Jane Ellis Ware Obituary, 1962

WARE RITES HELD SUNDAY

Mrs. Minerva Jane Ware, 78, died Friday in the Robberson-Shirley hospital, Wynnewood, where she had been a patient about three weeks.

Funeral services were Sunday afternoon, Oct. 14, in the First Baptist church with Rev. Carlos Berry officiating. Interment was in Green Hill cemetery. Arrangements were by Bahner Funeral home. Pallbearers were Homer Deel, D. C. Farr, A. L. Hooker, Dave Winters, Tom Wood, and Dick Hunt.

Mrs. Ware was born July 24, 1884, at Gordonville, Tex. She moved to Davis, Indian Territory, in 1889, from Grayson county, Tex., and had lived here continuously, except for two years, 1907-09, when the family lived in Lindsay. She was the widow of W. C. Ware.

Mrs. Ware was a member of the First Baptist church where she worked actively in the W. M. U. She was also a member of the Petunia Garden club and the Woodland Home Demonstration club.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Young, Davis, and Mrs. Harry Drennan, Houston, Tex., two sons, O. M. “Dick” Ware, Ardmore, and P. C. Ware, Wichita, Kans.; four sisters, Mrs. Vesta Gibson, and Mrs. Sarah Wallace, Davis, Mrs. Cleo Lamb, Lawton, and Mrs. Alma Brown, Ada; four grandchildren, W. T. Young, Lawton, Harry J. Drennan, Valley Forge, Pa., Jack Young, Walterboro, S.C., and Mrs. Don Graham, Ardmore, and eight great grandchildren.”
