“Raymond E. Ware, 85 of Stockton passed away in a local hospital on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. He was born January 1, 1925 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Roy & Lottie Ware.

Ray served in the Navy during WWII from 1942 – 1946. After the war he completed his education at Southwestern State College (Ok) and the University of Oklahoma. Ray taught School for Stockton Unified from 1966 to 1985 teaching at Stockton Junior High and Stagg High School. He and his wife Nina Ware were married in 1948 and she precedes him in death in June of 2009. His daughter Mary Ann Ware of Stockton survives him.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park with military honors. Donations may be made in his name to Hospice of San Joaquin 3888 Pacific Ave. Stockton, CA 95204. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
