“Roxie Ann Ware died in Houston, Texas on July 20, 2010 at 84 years of age. Roxie was born in Boynton, Oklahoma on November 19, 1925 to Hugh Thomas and Ruth Marie (Daniels) Fisher. In 1945 in Pryor, Oklahoma she married Bonnie Lee Ware. Bonnie’s job with the Phillips Oil Refinery took them to Kansas City and then to Pasadena, Texas where she resided until her death. Roxie worked as a registered nurse. She enjoyed quilting and loved cats and dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bonnie, a son B. Lee Ware, Jr., daughter-in-law Katherine Ware, and two brothers Kenneth Fisher and Everette Fisher. Roxie is survived by five grandchildren all of Houston, Texas; Christopher Ware, David Ware, Wendy Ware-Bishop and husband Paul, Natalie Ware and Nicholas Ware, brother Arlois Fisher of Baxter Springs, Kansas, two sisters; Fern Harvey of Overland Park, Kansas and Kay Fisher of Morris, Oklahoma and a daughter-in-law Kim Ware. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Okmulgee Cemetery.
