“Roy Martin Ware Jr., 76, of San Diego died Thursday. Mr. Ware, who was born in Oklahoma, was a retired Navy commander. He served in World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of VFW Post 3788 and American Legion Post 460.

Survivors include his stepdaughter, Sharon West of Shawnee, Okla.; a sister, Lou Ball of Texas; and three brothers, Jack of Watonga, Okla., Robert of Colgate, Okla., and Raymond of Stockton.

Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. today at Lewis Colonial-Benbough Mortuary, 3051 El Cajon Blvd., El Cajon. Services: 11 a.m. tomorrow at Lewis Colonial-Benbough Chapel.”
