ANDERSON, Ind. — Ruby Orpha Ware, resident of Anderson, Ind., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 23, 2010, from Countryside Manor. She was 93.
Ruby was born Aug. 28, 1916, in the township of Bluff, Okla., to Earl and Iris Croft LeCounte.
Ruby loved the Lord, providing a loving home for her two children.
Ruby was a member of Quilter’s Guild of Oklahoma. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, playing the piano and gardening. She was a very sweet woman, showing incredible strength and perseverance throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Carla Ware of Indianapolis, Ind. and Deborah (Joseph) Rosenfield of Anderson, Ind.; her sister, Dorothy Randquist of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Rachel (Jess) Reed of Marysville, Calif., Rebekah (James) Badgley of Indianapolis, Ind., Joseph Rosenfield and Elizabeth Rosenfield, both of Anderson, Ind.; great-grandchildren, A.J. Reed, Trisha Reed and soon to arrive Charlene Reed; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Ware; and a sister, Sylvia Rogers.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City.
Local arrangements were handled through Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Countryside Manor and Heartland Hospice for their care of Ruby.
