“GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Barbara Johnson Ware, 67, of Greenville will be 10 a.m. Friday at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville. She died September 7, 2010, at her home in Greenville. Burial will be in Hollandale Cemetery, under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

She was a native of Avon and graduated from Hollandale High School. She and her husband, Ralph, owned and operated Sears Catalog Store in Rolling Fork from 1976 to 1994, then moved to Greenville where she was employed at the Greenville Welcome Center and McRae’s (Belk). She was a member of Darlove Baptist Church.

Her husband preceded her in death in February 2009 and she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Troy and Ben Johnson.

She is survived by two daughters, Gwen Holcomb (Eddie) of Grace and Carol Hunter (Scott) of Glen Allan; three sisters, Shirley Pate of Belzoni, Janie Gossage of Wayside and Eloise Clark of Wayside; special friend, Brad Morgan of Greenville; and 8 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.”
