” Dorothy Bennett Ware, 76, a retired schoolteacher, died of heart failure Saturday at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Thomastown Christian Church with burial in Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko.

Mrs. Ware was a native of Leake County. She was a graduate of Mississippi Southern College, now the University of Southern Mississippi. She taught in Carthage and Philadelphia schools. She was a member of Thomastown Christian Church. ‘She taught school for about 25 years,’  said her husband, Donald.  ‘She was very dedicated.’  Other survivors include: brothers, Edward Bennett of Brandon and Guy Bennett of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.”
