“OKOLONA – Jessie Kate Bafford Ware, 76, died Monday, March 10,2003, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born May 5, 1926, in Chickasaw County to Joe Lean Bafford and Indiana Bafford. She was a member of the Sunrise Church of God of Prophecy, where she was church treasurer, missionary and a member of the Prayer Board.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop Willie Ware,Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Okolona Cemetery. Hodges Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband Willie B. Ware, Sr. three daughters,Laria Wilson of Cleveland, Tennessee, Dorothy “Pat” Ware of Okolona and Betty Nixon of Lansing, Mich.,three sons, Bishop Wille B. Ware, Jr., and Ceclia Wre, and Harvey and Lonnie Ware, all of Okolona, and James “Randy” Ware of of Houston; her mother Amy Baffordof Okolona;three sisters, Mary Davidson of New Orleans, and Jessie “Pearl” Richardson and Rosa Robinson, both of Okolona; three brothers,Joe Lean Bafford Jr.of Saltillo, Feland Bafford of Amory and Joe Nathan Bafford of Cleveland Tenn.; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.”
