“William Ira was the son of James Jefferson and Margaret Ware who lived in Limestone County in 1850. They died sometime before 1860 and Ira and his sister Nancy were raised by their older sister Mary who married Ross Hancock.

By 1870, Ira had married France and was living back in Limestone County where he lived for the rest of his life.”
