CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. – Anna Pearl Ware, 59, of Charles Town, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2002, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va. Born May 9, 1942, in Greenbrier County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Veda Z. Chapman Kern. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. “Bill” Ware, in 1994. She attended Charles Town High School. She formerly owned and operated On-Track Video Store in Ranson. She was a member of Charles Town Baptist Church. She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 1028, Charles Town. She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Richards of Winchester, Va., Pamela J. Ware of Inwood, W.Va. and Penny A. Howell of Middleway, W.Va.; one son, William A. Ware, at home; three sisters, Susie Frye of Halltown, W.Va., Mary Trice of Charles Town and Louise Butts of Florida; one brother, Hickory Kern of Inwood; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother; one half-sister; and one half-brother. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Charles Town Baptist Church. Dr. Wyman Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
