Katherine Ware, 79, of Lake Eshquagama in Aitkin County, and also of Largo, Fla., died Monday, March 25, in her Lake Eshquagama home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Duluth to Thomas and Katherine Cotton Origer, she was a graduate of Duluth Denfeld High School and the College of St. Scholastica. She was the president and owner of the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Virginia and a member of the Eshquagama Country Club and the Coca-Cola Bottlers Association. She was also active in the Community Education Program. Her husband, Hugh, died previously. She is survived by her brother, William Origer of Hastings; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Visitation: 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Friday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Virginia. Arrangements are provided by the Bauman Family of Funeral Homes, Bauman-Cron Chapel in Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Florida Sun Coast, 3000 East Bay Drive, Largo, FL 34640.
