SMYRNA – Viola Elizabeth Ware of Smyrna, formerly of Marydel, Md., and Templeville, Md., died Friday, May 12, 2006, in Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna. She was 79. Mrs. Ware was born June 16, 1926, in Caroline County, Md., daughter of the late Raymond Lewis and Anna Mae (Tull) Murphy. She lived most of her in Templeville. She worked for Playtex of Dover for 21 years before retiring in 1978. Mrs. Ware was a longtime member of the Templeville Grange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Porky” Ware Sr., in 1981; three sisters, Lizeann Murphy, Ella May Kinnamon and Betty Jane Haymon; a grandson, Rocky Burris Sr.; and a great-granddaughter, Calie May Janson. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Melvin Burris Sr., of Marydel; a son and daughter-in-law, Elmer H. Jr. and Victoria Ware of Goldsboro, Md.; three brothers, Luke Murphy of Harrington, Raymond Murphy of Felton and Donald Murphy of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Eugene Burris Sr., Patricia Burris, Melvin Burris, Susan Janson, John Ware and Jessica Ware; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Busick Church, Barclay, Md. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Busick Church Cemetery.
