BAILEYSVILLE — Catherine Ware Rose, 84, of Baileysville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 4, 2012, at Wyoming Continuous Care, New Richmond, following a long illness. She was born August 19, 1927, in Corinne, W.Va., a daughter of the late Edith Hicks Alley and Noey Ware. Catherine was a lifetime resident of Baileysville and a member of Clear Fork Independent Church of God where she dearly loved her church family. She had worked over twenty years for the Wyoming County Board of Education as a teacher’s aide. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband of 61 years Ronald Lee Rose. Left to mourn her passing are her son Billy Gene Rose and wife Kay of Oceana, two grandsons Kelly Wayne Rose and wife Kerrina of Baileysville and Gregory Lee Rose and companion Robin Massey of Bolt; a granddaughter Jacqui Lynn Hill and husband Ryan of Pipestem; six great-grandchildren Hannah and Colton Rose, Isaac, Nathan, Caleb and Callie Hill; two stepgreat-grandchildren Nicholas and Thomas Forren; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with Pastor Hannibal Blankenship Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. Friends may gather with the family from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
