Ellen Todd Webber Ware died Wednesday at the Clipper Home after a long illness. She was born in Freeport, Maine, a daughter of Frank and Mary Todd, and graduated from Freeport High School and the University of Maine. For many years, Mrs. Ware taught English beginning in a one-room school in West Pownal, Maine. She later taught in Freeport and at King Junior High (now Middle) School in Portland, Maine. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Robert S. Webber, her second husband, Adoniram Ware, and a grandson, Joseph McKeen, died previously. Surviving are two daughters, Marceline Webber McKeen of South Paris, Maine, and Maxine Webber Duffy of Kittery, Maine; a sister, Mabel Gilmartin of Plaistow; three grandchildren, Deborah Wright of Fryeburg, Maine, Betsy Wilkins of Charleston, Maine, and Susan Olson of Windham, Maine; and five great-grandchildren. A service will be announced by Lindquist Funeral Home, Yarmouth, Maine.
