A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2000, in Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church for Fannie Mae Ware, who died March 20 at age 85. Mrs. Ware was born June 4, 1914, in Caledonia, Ark. Her maiden name was Carroll. She moved to Portland in 1944 and was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, where she was a former president of the senior choir and of the deaconess board. In 1935, she married Ben Ware; he died March 11. Survivors include her sons, Donnell, Ernest and Billy; daughters, Betty Tolbert and Bennie Ware; brother, Lovell Carroll; sister, Essie Lee Alexander; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Killingsworth Little Chapel of the Chimes.
