A funeral has been held for Frances V. Ware, a Portland homemaker who died Aug. 21, 1996, of cancer. She was 80. Mrs. Ware was born June 8, 1916, in Duluth, Minn. A homemaker, she was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles; daughters, Judith E. Thomas of Makakilo, Hawaii, and Carolyn L. Scribner of Salem; sons, Del R. and Roger C., both of Portland; brother, Oliver D. Olson of Portland; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment was in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the church’s beautification fund. Arrangements are by Lombard Little Chapel of the Chimes.
