Private family services are planned for Thelma J. Ware, who died Sept. 5, 1996, at age 79. Mrs. Ware was born Nov. 21, 1916, in Greybull, Wyo. Her maiden name was Linn. She spent most of her life in the Portland area and attended Girls Polytechnic High School. She managed the Bali Hi Motel in Richland, Wash., for 20 years and retired in the late 1970s. She most recently lived in Scappoose. Survivors include her sons, Roy of Camas, Wash., and Robert of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter, Joan Strong of Portland; sister, Velma McGinnis of Scappoose; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family suggests remembrances to the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Vancouver. Arrangements are by Portland Memorial Funeral Home.
