VENNELDA WARE, 91, of West Hamlin, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2008, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, W.Va., by Rev. Harry Moore. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was a daughter of the late Milford and Ethel Perril Fortney. She was a retired school teacher. She attended Portersville Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coach Dick Ware. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rod and Sherri Ware of Mingo Junction, Ohio and Joe and Judy Ware of Route 1 West Hamlin; one brother, Hunter Fortney of Virginia; grandchildren James Ware, Susan Townsend and her husband Patrick, Rebecca Ferguson and her husband Ray, Katherine Kern and her husband Phillip, Shannon Gump and her husband Nathan; and nine great-grandchildren.
