Fosteen Ware Dorsey Obituary, 2009

Fosteen (Ware) Dorsey, 85, of Bristol, widow of James Benjamin Dorsey, died Thursday (July 30, 2009) at home with her family at her side. Born in Americus, GA, the daughter of the late Alfonso and the late Cassie (Edwards) Ware, she was employed at Wasley Products in Plainville until her retirement. She was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in New Britain, a member of the golf league at Wasley Products, and loved fishing. She is survived by three sons, James Bernard Dorsey and his good friend Dottie Wade of New Haven, Van Leon Dorsey and his good friend Mary Ann Moore of Bristol, and Norman Lee Dorsey and his wife Kathy Reid-Dorsey of Hartford; two daughters, Deborah Ann Dorsey and her fiancee Roy Mitchell of Bristol, and Sylvia Diane Dorsey-Skinner and her husband David of Titusville, FL; a sister, Rosa Mae Bolden of Boynton Beach, FL and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Toby and Herbert Ware, and a brother, Julius Ware. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 15 Wilcox Street, New Britain, CT 06051. Porter’s Funeral Service in Kensington is serving her family.
