Mamie Ware Obituary, 1996

Mamie Ware, 86, of Bloomfield, widow of Charlie Ware, died Friday (Sept. 6, 1996) at Mount Sinai Hospital, Hartford. Born in Hamner, AL, she lived in Gainesville, AL before moving to Bloomfield in 1988. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Hartford, and a member of the Missionary Society at the church. She previously had been a longtime member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Alabama. She leaves three daughters, Elma Hawkins of Gainesville, AL, Thelma Macon and Lucille Rice, bo th of Bloomfield; a sister-in-law, Rachel Burrell of Akron, OH; five grandchildren, Yogi Hawkins, Gregory K. Rice, Pamela Macon, Kevin and his wife, Regina Hawkins, and Reginald Macon; and two great- grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. The funeral will be Wednesday, 1 p.m., at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 350 Albany Ave., Hartford, with burial in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield. The calling hour will be Wednesday, 12 noon, at the church. The Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor has charge of arrangements.
