Janet Hailstone Ware Obituary, 2001

ARCADIA, Fla. – Janet Hailstone Ware, 54, of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Nov. 8, 2001, in Marianna, Fla. She was born Dec. 27, 1946, in Logan, Utah, and moved to Arcadia 34 years ago from Hyrum, Utah. She was a homemaker and a caring person and was always ready to help others. Janet was instrumental in organizing the DeSoto County Watermelon Festival. She was a member of the National Watermelon Association, the Florida, Alabama and DeSoto County Watermelon Associations, the Ladies of Elks and the Ladies of Shrine in Arcadia. She was a member of the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arcadia. She is survived by her husband, Clyde Ware of Arcadia; her father, Max Hailstone of Twin falls, Idaho; two sons, William Scott Stanko of Sarasota, Fla., and Jerry Clyde Ware of Prattville, Ala.; one daughter, Cherie Stanko Thompson of Arcadia; two brothers, Steve Hailstone of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Robert Hailstone of Logan, Utah; five sisters, Judy Jensen of Carson City, Nev., Peggy Hirst of Jerome, Idaho, Betty Jeffs of Ogden, Utah, Barbara Hess of Tremonton, Utah, and Ruthie Crosbie of Hyrum; five grandchildren, Jerra Ware, Steve Ware, Sarah Thompson, Jennifer Thompson and Ethan Thompson. She’s joined with her mother, Sallie Jane Hailstone, in heaven. Funeral services were held in Arcadia, Fla.
