On a beautiful snowy Sabbath morning, February 25, 1996, LaPreal Knapp Ware, age 51, was called home to her Heavenly Father after a long, valiant battle with cancer. She died peacefully at home with her family at her bedside. LaPreal was born September 26, 1944 in Mapleton, Idaho to Harry Walter and Cora Porter Knapp. LaPreal and Thomas J. Ware were sealed together as husband and wife, September 15, 1966, in the Logan Temple. They made their home in Grantsville from the time they were married until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Cora; a brother, Howard and two sisters, Louise Parkinson and Evelyn Griffith. She is survived by her husband, Tom and children, Michael (Shaunie), Curtis (Melissa), Jeffery, Allison, Phillip, Amanda, Crystal (all of Grantsville), and Lori (Jeffery) Pobanz of Ogden; grandchildren, Lynnsey, Justin, and Kaleb Ware, all of Grantsville; brothers and sisters, Adra Harris, of Preston, Idaho; Kenneth and Walter Knapp of Mapleton, Idaho; Marjorie Hobb of Logan; and Colleen McCammon of Wellsville, Utah. Funeral services will be held in the Grantsville West Stake center Thursday, February 29, at 11 a.m. There will be a viewing at the Tate Mortuary in Tooele on Wednesday, February 28, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the stake center. Burial, Grantsville City Cemetery.
