W A R E John Russell Ware, born in Waco, Texas on March 30, 1950, passed away on June 14, 2009 at the age of 59 surrounded by his loving family and close friends. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Ritchie Ware; sons: Jack Russell Ware, Joe Waco Ware (Kelly), Ben Arthur Ware, and Brady Monroe Ware; daughter, Megan Hanus Coburn (James III); grandchildren: Jakob Ramsey Coburn, Ty Jackson Ware, Abigael Elise Coburn, and Mason James Ware; step-mother, Jodie Ware; sisters: Sherry Brown (Robert)and Rebecca Taylor (Ashley); step-sisters: Susan Wheeler Kuhlman (John) and Cynthia Zator; brothers: Allen Ware and Felix Ware (Caris); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Ware; mother, Jean Russell Wheeler; and step-father, Frank Wheeler. Russell loved the outdoors and a simple way of life. He was a sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, cowboy history, and Texas Ranger lore. A true craftsman, he was also passionate about woodworking, welding, and blacksmithing. He was a good man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a proud Texan. The world is smaller without him; he was intensely loved and will be sorely missed.SERVICESFuneral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to The Salvation Army, Vitas Hospice of San Antonio, Alamo Heights Baptist Church or to a charity of choice.
