MIDDLEBURG – Josephine Stanaford Ware, 84, of Liberty, died Thursday at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Born Jan 14, 1921, in Argyle, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Marcie McAnninch Taylor. She was a former cook at Garrett Elementary School and attended Watson’s Chapel Christian Church and Valley Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a husband, James Stanaford. Survivors include her husband, Donald Ware; a son, Dale Stanaford of Goshen, Ohio; a daughter, Patricia Stanaford Coleman of Yosemite; a brother, Talmadge Taylor of Cincinnati; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Troy Merrick. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday.
