Mary M. Ware Obituary, 2007

Mary M. Ware, 79, of Topeka passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007 at the Brewster Place Retirement Community.

She was born Sept. 29, 1928 in Topeka, the daughter of Thomas P. and Madeline J. Giono Flynn.

Mary was a 1946 graduate of Capitol Catholic High School and attended Washburn University where she became a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. She worked for the Santa Fe Railroad as a computer operator, retiring in 1988 after 38 years of service and was a longtime member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mary remained close to many of her sorority sisters and was a regular when they got together to play bridge.

She married Harry Ware, Jr. on April 14, 1956 in Topeka. He survives. Preceding her in death are a brother, John Flynn; a sister, Virginia Sage and a nephew, Tom Flynn.

Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

As per her wishes, cremation is to take place and no services are planned at this time.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Brewster Place Employees Benefit Fund or to Heart of America Hospice and sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614.
