Elizabeth Ware Davison Toner Obituary, 1998

80, of Cape May, died Monday at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Toner was a former teacher in Cheltenham Township, Pa.

She was a member of the Cape May Cottagers Beach Club, Cape May Yacht Club, Cape May Genealogy Society, Mayflower Society and Cape Island Baptist Church.

She was a former member of the Cape May City Planning Board and Environmental Commission.

She enjoyed tennis, reading and playing bridge.

Born in Cape May, Mrs. Toner was a graduate of Cape May High School and Ursinus College, Pennsylvania, and also lived in Abington, Pa., and Huntingdon Valley, Pa.

Surviving are three daughters, Deborah Cutler, Pamela Barsby and Beth Hyde; a son, John Davison; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Cape Island Baptist Church, Columbia Avenue and Guerney.

Arrangements are by Stuard Funeral Home, Ardmore, Pa.

Donations may be made to the church or Cape May Nature Center, 1600 Delaware Ave.
