Attielene “Attie” Ware, age 74, of Crossett, AR, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was born in Crossett on March 30, 1941 to her parents, Jesse James and Mary Lou Pickle Jenkins. Mrs. Ware graduated from Crossett High School in 1959. She was an employee of the Arkansas Revenue Office for 28 years and retired in 2007. Mrs. Ware was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved geraniums, pansies and working in her garden. Attie was known for her cookies-she made the Best. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Arnold Jenkins, Cordell Jenkins and Archie Jenkins; one sister, Ellie Dee Maxwell.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Enoch Ware; one son, Scott Ware; one sister, Maycel Barnett (Charles); one sister-in-law, Verlee Jenkins, all of Crossett, A; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Toby Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
