Died 2:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 1989, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 85, a native of Belle Grove Plantation in Iberville Parish, and resident of Baton Rouge 44 years. Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Michael Maroney of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by husband, Dr. Sherburne Anderson; four brothers, James Andrew Ware, Hammond, Glen Owen Ware, McComb, Miss., Frank X. Ware, Wenatchee, Wash., and Gerard Richard Ware, Jackson, Miss.; and two sisters, Mrs. Eloise Ware Lyons, Hammond, and Mrs. Majorie Ware McElwee, Magnolia, Miss. Preceded in death by father, John Stone Ware, Belle Grove Plantation; mother, Carmelite Gourrier, Millie Belle Plantation in Iberville Parish; and three brothers, Jone Stone Ware Jr., Thomas Gourrier Ware and Alfred Adams Ware. Pallbearers were William Thomas, Eugene F. Lyons III, Robert Reeves, Richard Weatherly, Alfred Adams Ware Jr. and Richard Ware. Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., was in charge of arrangements.
