Amy Ware born February 26, 1927 died peacefully January 24, 2016.

Amy was born and raised in Oak Park, IL and graduated from Oak Park/River Forest High School. She later attended Stanford University. Amy moved with her former husband, Ralph C. Ware to San Antonio, TX in 1949.

She was a member of Junior League of San Antonio, Battle of Flowers Association, The Forum, Monte Vista Garden Club and P.E.O.

Amy was preceded in death by her son, Robert R. Ware II. She is survived by her children, Susan W. Alexander, Thomas H. Ware (Gwynn), Amy E. Ware; grandchildren, Kim W. Alexander, Lettie A. Vellano (Mike), Katie Ware, Hannah Ware, Emily Ware, Caleb Czimskey, Erin Czimskey; great-grandchildren, Mia Vellano, Ruthie Vellano.

We express our gratitude for the compassionate care Amy received from Chandler House and Gentiva Hospice.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 11 St. Luke’s Lane.
