Cindy L. Ware, age 49, died unexpectedly at Borgess Hospital on Wednesday evening, June 5, 2013. Cindy was born on September 23, 1963 in Battle Creek to Donald Eugene and Joan Marlene (Vaughn) Hainer. She grew up in Battle Creek, graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1982. Cindy has lived in the Battle Creek and Olivet area all of her life. She worked at various area restaurants including the Canton Buffett in Battle Creek where she worked last. She was married to John D. Ware on October 28, 1999 in Battle Creek. The couple have made their home in rural Olivet. Cindy was a Nascar fan especially of driver Tony Stewart! She and John enjoyed going to Nascar and area stock car races. She was a devoted wife to John, even splitting and hauling wood with John. They worked as a team. John says Cindy always did more than her fair share, and he will always remember her as a very honest woman. She and John had a beloved German Shepherd mix they named Tony who the couple doted on. Surviving are her husband John of Olivet, her son Shawn Bessler , mother Joan Vaughn, brothers Don Hainer and Doug Hainer, and sisters Mary Jo Manning and Louann Smith all of Battle Creek; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Donald E. Hainer and her beloved pup Tony. Friends may call at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Sunday 9a.m.-8p.m., where family will be present to greet friends and share memories 1p.m.-3p.m. and 5p.m.-8p.m. Services to celebrate her life and remember her will be held at Craig K.Kempf Funeral Home on Monday, June 10, at 1:30p.m. with Rev. James Codde officiating. Interment will follow in Hicks Cemetery. A fellowship will follow at the funeral home’s reception hall. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
