Debra M. Ware 54, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. She was born June 21, 1952 in Philadelphia to Vincent and Dorothy Mazzeo. Debra received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College, and a Masters’ degree from Columbia University, both in New York. After a successful career at Steelcase, Deb became co-owner of Business Furniture Company in Indianapolis, of which she is the former chief executive officer. She was very active in community service, and fulfilled leadership andor board roles for the Heartland Film Festival, Christamore House, Dress For Success, and the American Heart Association . She is survived by her husband, Dr. J. Anthony Ware and son, Zachary Oakes, both of Indianapolis; her parents, her brothers, Chris and Vincent Mazzeo, and her sisters, Joan Mazzeo and Lisa Schimmel. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 4 at 2:30 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral on Monument Circle. Donations in Debra’s memory can be made to the Heartland Film Festival or Christamore.
