Donald H. Ware Obituary
Donald H. Ware, 81, of West Chester, Pa., died on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at his son’s home in Morgantown, Pa., while under the loving care of his family and hospice.
He was born on July 11, 1934 in Rochester, Beaver County, Pa and was the son of the late Hiram and Elizabeth (Lutz) Ware. Donald was the husband of the late Nancy Jane (Turner) Ware.
He was a manager at the GE Space Center in Valley Forge for over 30 years. Donald was an initiating member of the MOL Program (Man Orbiting Laboratory) for the U.S. Air Force. He worked on many other important space programs for GE. Don enjoyed professional sports and loved his Pittsburgh teams. He loved to talk and was know for his sense of humor.
Donald was a dedicated husband, companion and father who could always be counted on in times of need.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Ware.
Donald is survived by a son Robert Clark (Lisa) Ware of Morgantown, two daughters, Cheryl (Bob) Guernsey of Downingtown and Carrie Murtagh of West Chester and his loving companion Nancy Getz of Coatesville. There are nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at 3 p.m. from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends starting at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
