Sarah Anne Ware, 81, of Bradenton, Florida, and formerly of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, in Bradenton.

She was born Aug. 25, 1933, in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of William and Elizabeth McKissock Adams. She married Raymond Barry Woodrum and he preceded her in death in 1983. She later married Richard “Dick” Ware on June 20, 1987, at Grace United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, and he survives.

Anne is also survived by one son, William (wife, Maureen) Woodrum of Chatham; stepchildren David (wife, Susan) Woodrum of Seattle, Washington, Richard (wife, Elaine) Woodrum of Warwick, Rhode Island, Vickie (husband, Danny) Brooks of Jacksonville, and James R. (wife, Leslie) Ware of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one stepson, John Robert Ware (surviving wife, Cheryl, of Jacksonville.)

Anne worked at Casler, Houser, and Hutchison for many years and previously worked at J. Capps and Sons. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville. Anne was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, reader, bridge player, and crossword enthusiast.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A private committal service will be held at Diamond Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church or the Jacksonville Public Library. The Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at airsman-hires.com.
