Wyatt was born on April 29, 1958 and was raised in Louisville. He attended grade school at St. Stephen Martyr and Holy Trinity Parish, and he graduated from Waggener High School. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in accounting and received his MBA from the University of Louisville. Wyatt began his career with Akzo Nobel in 1981 and recently celebrated 30 years of dedicated service there. In 1993, Wyatt was promoted to a position in High Point, NC, where he and his family lived for 18 years. In 2008, Wyatt was named the Director of Finance of the Wood Finishes and Adhesives division and returned to Louisville.
He was a long-standing member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants (KYCPA).
Wyatt was a devoted husband and loving father, a wonderful son, brother and “outlaw”. Wyatt was an admired mentor and source of inspiration to his family and many friends and colleagues both here in the United States and all throughout the international community. He was a fiercely loyal University of Kentucky sports fan. He was also an avid sailor. Wyatt loved tailgating with his children at UK football games, smoking cigars with family and friends around his backyard fire pit, and playing golf and tennis.
Wyatt is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Kelly Ware.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa “Bud” Schiavone Ware; his children, Brian Christopher (Christen Crouch), Gina Marie and Michael Robert; his parents, Joan (Glass) and Allan P. Ware; and his sisters, Michelle Hume (Craig), Lisa Schmitt (Don) and Julie Herp (Mike). His close extended family includes his wife’s parents, Colleen (Doyle) and Robert P. Schiavone, MD; his brothers-in-law, Robert Schiavone II (Cindy) and Scott Schiavone (Angie); his sisters-in-law, Kim Williams (Chris) and Ann Dyke (Tom); and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Pearson Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road. A celebration of Wyatt’s life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road.
