Vernon Kent Ware Obituary, 2015

October 28, 2015 “a good day for dying” Vernon Kent Ware September 4, 1948, born in Lakeport. Vern was a Vietnam Veteran. Vern loved his wife of 28 years, Leanne, his “girls” Rachel and Donnette, and his son, Aaron. He liked hiking and exploring the Lake County hills on his horse and mule, or driving his jeep on the back roads. He drove his antique tractor in the Kelseyville parades. Vern played guitar; had a telescope for scanning the stars; and collected every John Deere model tractor made. Vern was a pear shed mechanic until an aneurysm curtailed his capabilities. Vern started a small business he named “Uncle Vern’s Fix-It”. Several knee surgeries and he retired. Then another aneurysm slowed him to a stand still, but he still had a few years. We will miss him; Jewel Ware – his mother, and family, and friends, Dixie, Alvin, Bruce, Susan Germolus, Karen Lewis, Annette Crowder, Douglas Ware, Ron Ware, Nancy, Alan, “Lee” Leanne Ware, Nancy Vickers, Rod Woodward and Tanya Williams and all his friends. Please share your memories by signing Vern’s guest book at www.legacy.com.
