WARE-NICHOLS, Vivian L. Age 88 of Dayton, passed away January 6, 2015. She was born February 12, 1926 in Dayton to the late Perry Thomas, Sr. and Anna Mae Thomas. In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Nichols; sisters: Irene Smith and Alma Rose. Vivian is survived by her children: Gregory Thomas Ware, Sr., Yvonne F. Bronaugh, Tony Ware and Mark L. (Janice) Ware; step-children: Wilbert Stewart and Liz Swanigan; grandchildren: Gregory Ware, Jr., Michael Ware, Jamie Collins, Stephanie Bronaugh and Anthony Bronaugh, Sr.; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Perry Thomas, Jr.; sister, Bercena Lucas; aunts: Vernida Sandridge and Dorothy Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends. Vivian was a LPN and retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital after many years of service. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, serving as Treasurer and various other committees. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church, 1001 Harvard Blvd. at Salem Ave., where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 am.
