Joni Jean Price Ware was born on May 22, 1954 in Greenville, South Carolina and passed away in Bothell, Washington on March 13, 2016.
Joni grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana with her three sisters and brother. She met her husband, Larry, on a blind date and they were engaged that evening. They were happily married for 40 years and 6 months. Joni had two children, Nicole and James, who she delighted in. She also had three grandchildren, Jackson, William, and Elizabeth, who she doted on.
Joni lived in several places throughout the years, including Mobile, Alabama, Slidell, Louisiana, Grand Junction, Colorado, Peoria, Illinois, and, most recently, Bothell, Washington. She worked as an aide to special needs students where she formed long-lasting bonds with her students and colleagues. She also worked in high-end retail stores, often winning sales prizes and employee of the month. She was also active in her children’s endeavors, serving as a Girl Scout Leader, Band Mom, and much, much more.
Joni will be remembered for her kindness and her belief in the good nature of people. She is survived by her father, Bob, her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She is deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Should friends desire, memorial donations can be made to the School District 51 Foundation of Grand Junction, Colorado.
