Raymond Lee Ware Obituary, 2000

Raymond L. Ware, 74, Versailles, died Feb. 21, 2000, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton.

He was born Dec. 2, 1925, in Carroll County, a son of Addison and Lilly A. Ingram Ware. He was married March 17, 1948, to Helen Nadine Bradley, who survives at the home.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a plumber for Fair Way Plumbing, Kansas City, and a member of Plumbers Union Local 8, Kansas City, and West Union Baptist Church, Versailles.

Other survivors include: three sons, Michael R. Ware, Lawson, Patrick L. Ware, Parksville, and Victor C. Ware, Camden, Del.; one daughter, Peggy C. Tyler, Warsaw; one brother, Estle Ware, Kansas City; one sister, Alice Casselman, Lexington; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Homes, Versailles. The Rev. Rod Campbell and the Rev. Danny Owsley will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to West Union Baptist Church.
