Richard Manning Ware of Dixon died Sunday, Aug. 20 at age 53.

Mr. Ware was born Dec. 28, 1952 in Sacramento to H.E. “Bill” and Evelyn Mayberry Ware. He lived in Woodland for several years, working with his father in the tractor and ag engine industry.

Survivors include Mr. Ware’s children, Jessica Ware of Dixon, Jeffrey Ware, currently serving in the military in South Korea, Haley Ware of Woodland and Jordan Ware of Auburn; his stepchildren, Ryan Montoya and Tasha Tapia of Woodland; his sister, Debbie Holsapple of Roseville; his brother, Tim Ware and his wife Kim of Oakland; and his nieces Ashley Smith of Atlanta and Genevieve Rich of Roseville. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family requests memorials in Mr. Ware’s name be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Services: Respecting the wishes of Mr. Ware, private services will be held on the California coast. McNary-Moore Funeral Service of Colusa is assisting the family with arrangements.
