Roy Ware

Roy A. Ware was born July 6, 1917 at the rural Delhi area near Cuba, Missouri to the union of Jesse S. Ware and Annie Ware (nee: Osborn) and passed away on Monday, April 2, 2007 at the family home at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 26 days.

Roy had accepted Christ as his Savior in childhood and has been a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon. He served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and in other various capacities.

Roy served his Country during World War II by working at Curtis Wright Aircraft. He was always interested in Aircraft and later acquired his pilots license. He spent most of his life farming and in construction.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents; one grandson Gregory Ware, daughter-in-law Paula Ware; three brothers Edwin, Virgil and Marvin Ware.

Those who are left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his wife of 67 years Loree G. Ware (nee Stevens); three sons Ronald and wife Chris Ware of Sullivan, Missouri, Robert Ware of Bourbon, Missouri, Michael and wife Sally Ware of Sullivan, Missouri, one daughter Dena Guynn of Yuma, Arizona; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, his church family and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Tuesday, April 3, 2007 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 West Washington St. Cuba, Missouri

Funeral: Wednesday, April 4, 2007 11:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Panepinto, officiating. Special music was provided by the Church Praise Team and Penny Branson as the pianist.

Interment: Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri

The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Ware family.
