William Boswroth Ware 80th Birthday Celebration

Open House Will Honor Ogden Man Friends and relatives of William B. Ware are invited to an open house in honor of his 80th birthday Friday from 3 until 8 p.m. at the family, home, 1073 27th. He requests no gifts. Mr. Ware was born April 20, 1882, in Cozad, Neb., where he went to school before moving to Cheyenne, Wyo., about 1901. He was employed by the Southern Pacific Co. as a fireman about a year before moving, to Ogden in 1907. He was promoted to engineer and made the run between Ogden and Carlin, Nev., for 44 years before retiring 15 years ago. Since that time he and his wife, the former Ada Batch, have been enthusiastic travelers. They have visited Florida, Mexico, Alaska and 1 Hawaii and already have plans made to visit the World’s Fair in Seattle this summer. Mr. .Ware is the father .of. two daughters and one son: Mrs. Jerome (Ethel) Rush and W. B. Ware, both of Ogden, and Mrs. Lavor (Dorothy) Kobinson, Los Angeles, Calif. He also has a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
