Bertha M. Ware, 87, of 616 Page St., died of unknown causes Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

Her funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Glenn officiating. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be held until 5 p.m. today at Woolf Funeral Home. Her body will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from noon until service time.

Ms. Ware, a retired nurse, was born on March 4, 1913, in Leflore County.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Benson and Elizabeth Ware, both of Clarksdale, and one sister, Hattie Mills of Los Angeles, Calif.
