Corine Ware Obituary, 2002

Corine Ware, 94, a former fashion coordinator, died Monday in Monterey.

She was born Oct. 19, 1907, in Alabama, and lived there all her life before moving to Monterey four years ago.

Mrs. Ware worked for the Lovemans Joseph and Loab Department Store in Birmingham, Ala., for many years. She was a member of the First Church of God in Pacific Grove, as well as the Sixth Avenue Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala.

She loved fishing, and enjoyed bingo, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, James Tucker of Monterey, James Ware of Mountain View, and Webster Ware of Los Angeles; two daughters, Carolyn Rosser of Los Angeles, and Cynthia Young of Mountain View; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Chapel of Seaside Mortuary.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to the Visiting Nurses Association Central Coast, P.O. Box 2480, Monterey 93942.
