James B. Ware 80 of Oxnard passed away May 26 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center after a prolonged illness.
Mr. Ware was born Dec. 6 1919 in Omaha Neb. and had been a Ventura County resident for 58 years coming from Nebraska. He was self-employed as a general contractor. Mr. Ware was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Gold Prospectors Association of America. His hobbies included gold prospecting dredging exploring ghost towns lapidary and gunsmithing.
He is survived by his wife Kitty Ware; daughters Linda Peck and Lucion Lindquist; and six grandchildren.
No services will be held. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of Payton Mortuary.
