Patricia Ann Ware September 15, 1951 – February 5, 2013 Patricia “Pat” Ware passed away unexpectedly Feb. 5, 2013 at the age of 61. She was born in Sacramento, CA, and came to live with her wonderful grandparents Evert and Mary Babbitt in Los Molinos at an early age. They loved her dearly and raised her as though she was one of their own children. Everyone who knew and loved Pat (or “Patty” as many liked to call her) will remember her for always being cheerful and having a sense of humor, even when dealing with multiple hardships and very dark times in her life. She was a beacon of light and blanket of comfort for others as well, no matter how bad she was feeling or what she was dealing with at the time. After moving to Los Molinos, her grandparents gave Pat the most normal childhood they could. She listened to Beatles and Monkees records after school with her friends, saw movies at the Los Molinos Drive-In, stayed out late past curfew with her best friend (and was promptly escorted back home in a sheriff’s patrol car), went on double-dates all the typical things you would expect while growing up that she otherwise wouldn’t have had without her grandparents. Mutual friends introduced Pat to her future husband, Tom, in 1968. After graduating from Los Molinos High School in 1969, she worked for the U.S. Forest Service before marrying Tom on March 2, 1970. They soon had two children, Robert and Rebecca. After moving around several times, they settled next door to her grandparents in Los Molinos. Pat is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Robert, and daughter-in-law, April; daughter, Rebecca and son-in-law, Michael; grandchildren Ashley, Bobby, Hunter and Madison; great-granddaughter, Zoe; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Hall Brothers Corning Mortuary, 902 Fifth St., Corning. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established to help with Pat’s final expenses at U.S. Bank (mention account #153499107735).
