Peggy Lou Ware passed away June 28, at the age of 76. Peggy was born in Sanger, CA, on November 4, 1938. She was the youngest of seven children of Frank and Lydia Ware. The Wares moved from Arkansas to California in 1935 during the Great Depression and on to Lakeport in 1945. Peggy graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1956. Except for a year at Santa Rosa Junior College and later Healds Business College and a brief job in San Francisco, Peggy spent her entire life in her beloved Lakeport. For years Peggy walked 100 miles a month to enjoy Lakeport as few have. Peggy was a generous person whose best friend was her dog, Andy. Preceded in death by her daughter, Linda, she leaves behind daughter, Barbara; grandchildren, Ashley and Marty; brother, Ron, and many nieces and nephews who loved and adored their Aunt Peg.
