Washington resident enjoyed traveling

Barbara Leslie Ware, 81, of Washington, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township, after a lengthy illness.

She was born November 28, 1929, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Frederick M. and Mabelle Scott Leslie.

For 20 years, she worked for Washington Federal Savings Bank as a mailroom supervisor and a teller.

She enjoyed traveling.

Her husband, Edward Ware, died in 1985.

Surviving are three sons, William C. Ware of Washington, Dr. Jeffery S. (Sue) Ware of St. Louis, Mo., and Maj. James E. (Lisa) Ware of Fairbanks, Ala.; a daughter, Sandra (Ron) Schieck of Canonsburg; 10 grandchildren, Kristin, Lauren, Kris, Danny, Scott, Stephen, Brittany, Alex, Kyler and Leslie; and four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Ryleigh, Emma and Julius.

Deceased are a sister, Nancy Coen, and a daughter, Susan Longdon.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will follow at 7 p.m.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
