She married Bill Pratt in 1942 and together they raised seven children, some in Indiana and some in Lake Bluff, IL. She was a wonderful homemaker who was exceptionally gifted in sewing, knitting and needle pointing.
Many of her crafts were donated to local churches over the years.
Edna had a great sense of adventure and loved to travel throughout the states visiting her children, churches, missions and museums, but her visits to Harbour Island, Bahamas always held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Pratt; and beloved sons, William D. (Marody Faulkner) Pratt II, Thomas W. (Lindy) Pratt, and Brian S. Pratt.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah P. Curry of Marsh Harbour, Bahamas; Ellen E. Pratt of Long Beach, CA; her sons, Kevin C. (Linda) Pratt of Lake Forest, CA; Michael A. (Nancy) Pratt of Ft. Meyers, FL; her grandchildren, Jillian R. (Gordon) Flach; Jennifer M. (Josh) McKillip; Erin E. (Felix Cubillos) Pratt; Katlyn A. Pratt; William B. Pratt; Lauren J. Pratt; Emily C. Pratt; and great-grandchild Guy McKillip.
Visitation from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Avenue, Lake Forest, IL. Funeral mass 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045.
Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Lake Forest.
