Helen Adaline Ware Obituary, 2000

LANARK – Helen Adaline Ware, 97, of Lanark died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Mount Carroll. Born Aug. 20, 1903, in Fairhaven, daughter of Samuel and Minnie (Grover) Turnbaugh. Graduate of Chadwick High School and DeKalb Teachers College. Married William Wallace Ware on May 11, 1926. She was a former teacher and later a housewife. Member of Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren. Survived by three daughters, Betty (Emmert) Shoup of Rockford, Carol (Lyle) Barthel of Virginia Beach, Va., and Lois (Keith) Kloepping of Lanark 12 grandchildren 32 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband, two brothers and two sisters.

Services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren, near Lanark, with the Rev. John Ewing officiating. Burial in Lanark Cemetery. Visitation from 12:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday in the church. Memorials have been established in her memory for Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren and Good Samaritan Nursing Center.
